Volvo, a famous Swedish car brand, was once translated as a rich man. The brand was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1927 and was founded by Gustav Larsen and Arthur Gableson. The Volvo Group is the world's leading manufacturer of commercial transportation and construction equipment, mainly providing trucks, buses, construction equipment, marine and industrial application drive systems and aero engine components; and a full range of financial and after-sales service solutions. In 1999, the Volvo Group sold its Volvo sedan business to Ford Motor Company. In 2010, Chinese automobile company Zhejiang Geely Holding Group acquired Volvo Car Business from Ford and obtained ownership of the Volvo Car brand.
